A Wonderful Week
Well this has been an awesome week. Life has calmed down a bit. We've stopped taking crazy trips to various places across the country, we've gotten over the colds and sickness and we are finally able to enjoy the weekends.
I read a great book this week from Jillian Michaels called 'Mastering Your Metabolism'. It has really made me think about what kind of food I put in my system.
So after thought, reading and conversation, we decided to make the switch in eating habits to organic natural foods. By natural I mean things that come from the ground or had a mother. Hey, I'm from Ohio. We eat meat. But now we eat grass-fed beef and find ourselves shopping at Whole Foods.
I feel 5 years younger in just 6 days.
We cut out caffiene (evil caffiene) and this for a person whose California license plates say 'DIET DEW' is a huge ordeal. I went from 12 sodas to one a day. I'll drop the last one in the next two weeks.
I'm listening to my body for the first time and instead of feeding it junk, I'm feeding it good things that actual fuel it instead of clog it up.
I stopped taking the Simply Sleep that I relied on each night. I was so over-caffeinated that sleeping pills were the only way to shut my mind off. Now I sleep well 8 hours each night.
Work is busy. I need to balance a bit more there. That will come in time.
For now, I'm on a good road and couldn't be happier. Sometimes you need to make changes just for yourself.

Preservatives are a bad thing. It's hard to find food without it unless you grow it yourself.
I agree that caffeine is a bad thing, but find it hard to stay away from it. I have started the water thing, only I hate bottled and tap water. True spring water is better.
Good Luck!!
