A Difficult 18 Holes

I have one rule for golf....no snakes on the course. Yep, here we are in Santa Barbara, and we see a sign about rattlesnakes on the golf course. OK I think, that's just a sign. It will be okay. I'll make a lot of noise by yelling at my ball when I hit it and the snakes will stay away. NO! There was what I am convinced was a Black Rat Snake. I was fairly (this is written in hindsight) calm after the snack lady reported seeing it. Then, I came home and looked it up to see what kind of snake it was. There it was....on my monitor screen. A picture of this snake in a tree! OMG! This snake can climb trees? I have never even though about that as a possibility. I have spent a lifetime watching the ground for these slimy serpents and here they are on the internet in trees. AHHHHH! It made me feel unclean and I took yet another shower (one to rid the sweat and sand and two to remove the horrible thoughts of the snake).

Glen Annie in Santa Barbara is an AWESOME course. It is VERY hard. The day was a challenge but it was AWESOME!!!! Its also much cheaper with a Ventura County Driver's License in your wallet :)
