What Is Wrong with People?

Good Grief! I normally log onto CNN.com about mid-way thru each day just to make sure the world is functioning as it was when I left the house earlier in the day. Just minutes ago, I logged on and saw that more than 30 people had been killed in a massacre at Virginia Tech.

I can understand suicide. I don't agree with it but I can understand it. What I don't understand is taking someone else's life. When anger is that bad....why can't people just take the gun to themselves and skip the step of killing everyone else? After all, in 1966 and in 1999 the gunmen also killed themselves after they slaughtered many others. When its all said and done, a lot more good would just come from them killing themselves first and leaving everyone else alone....just my opinion.

Mindy -

I heartily agree with you! I said the same thing when the gunwoman came across state lines and killed the people at the Goleta Postal Sorting Facility. Both cases argue stricter gun laws. (Though in the Goleta Postal case the problem was her home state AZ?, NM?, had rules that were less strict than CA's, then she drove her car to get here.)

All the best,
Astrid

Hi Astrid!

You are right....I had forgotten about that incident in Goleta. Again, a great case for stricter gun laws.

Good to hear from you!
Mindy
