Why Must People Drive Drunk?

We're headed home....from Laguna Beach. A nice day out in the sun and driving back home to have dinner. Now I realize its Labor Day weekend and trust me...I'd love to have a Grey Goose Cosmopolitan more than anyone....but WHY do people feel the need to drive after they have been drinking?

We were on Bonita Canyon when this red Mercedes goes across all the lanes and then back again in front of us. We pull over, grab a license number, make and model of the car and call 9-1-1. Just then, she pulls into oncoming traffic. Ouch!

Maybe this is why we moved to where we can walk to dinner each night. You can always have a drink with dinner if you can walk home.

Since when does your right to drink and drive overrule my right to get home safely?
